Icaria Heritage and Garden Tour
Day trip for motor coach groups includes step-on guide with an overview of Icaria history and an
Icarian breakfast, stops at the Village includes a French picnic lunch, shopping Main Street
Corning, a Great American Mainstreet award winner, and a visit to a Master-gardener's unique
gardens.

Icaria Ethnic Food Tour 
Start this day trip tour with a step-on guide for an overview of 1852 to 1898 Icaria at the
Lauvstad Center in Corning and an Icaria breakfast. Then travel to the French Icarian Village and
learn the unique history of these French immigrants whose “all for one and one for all”
philosophy brought them to America and Adams County Iowa to establish an equalitarian
community. Enjoy a School Tour with a spell down, meet an Icarian during the Cemetery visit
and lunch on a French picnic in the 1878 communal dining hall.
Shopportunities abound on Main Street Corning, an award winning Great American Main Street
community. Check out unique shops such as the Corning Center for the Fine Arts and Antiques on Main. Finish your tour with a visit to the Corning Winery & Vineyard to enjoy a taste of their
award winning wines on their floating tasting room on the pond overlooking the vineyard.

Eat and tour... tour and eat!
Come travel through southwest Iowa on a two-day "taste - full" European experience as you visit a French Icarian communal dining hall, a collection of Swedish artifacts, a Danish Windmill, a German Hausbarn and much more.
